From October 19 to 23, during Foster Family Appreciation Week, Valoris highlights the commitment and dedication of all those who offer children and teenagers, but also adults with an intellectual challenge, a place to grow and thrive.

In October, we raise awareness regarding every child and youth’s right to safety and well-being, and celebrate the community that supports families and cares for children and youth across Ontario.

Valoris for Children and Adults of Prescott-Russell launches a new website. A new visual identity, an easier navigation, a section dedicated to the Valoris Foundation and a restructuration of the content around topics and issues that affect the community are some of the improvements made.

This year, with the pandemic and the significant change in educational offerings, whether learning from home or in-person at school, mental health experts are anticipating an increased impact on children’s mental health.

Raising community awareness about suicidal distress and suicide is one of Valoris for Children and Adults of Prescott-Russell’s objectives.
