The Eastern Ontario Health Unit has confirmed to Valoris for Children and Adults of Prescott-Russell that the outbreak of COVID-19, which occurred in one of the organization's residences a few days ago, has now been resolved.

We were informed a week ago that an employee of one of our residence tested positive for COVID-19.

For several years, Valoris has experienced the effects of a reduction in provincial funding for all of its programs. In recent years, our multi-service model, our creativity and the contributions of various grants have helped the organization to keep its service offering and all jobs intact. Despite this, we find ourselves in 2020-2021 in a situation where we must deploy $2.1M expense reduction plan.

Every year, Valoris presents its excellence awards as part of its employee recognition gala. This year, we also wanted to highlight partners who allow us to better support the children, families and adults of our community.

Last April, the Valoris Foundation organized two food drives to aid food banks and sought the help of Valoris for children and adults of Prescott-Russell’s employees.
