We were informed a week ago that an employee of one of our residence tested positive for COVID-19.
To date, this is the only confirmed positive case. Fortunately, no other staff or residents are showing symptoms. All people who may have been in contact with the employee have been identified, notified and tested. No further positive cases have been reported since. The situation is now under control.
Valoris is following the protocols put in place by the Eastern Ontario Health Unit, which is with us every step of the way. The families of residents and all employees of the organization have also been made aware of the situation.
