Throughout the month of November, Valoris pays tribute to families who have adopted and/or welcomed a child in their home.

October 27th last week was Dress Purple Day. Valoris, as well as several of its community partners in Prescott-Russell took action and highlighted this important day to advocate the rights of children and adolescents in the region.

Children sometimes ask adults or their parents surprising questions. They are always trying to understand the world around them, and you may find yourself having to have conversations about skin color and ethnic and cultural differences.

From October 19 to 23, during Foster Family Appreciation Week, Valoris highlights the commitment and dedication of all those who offer children and teenagers, but also adults with an intellectual challenge, a place to grow and thrive.

In October, we raise awareness regarding every child and youth’s right to safety and well-being, and celebrate the community that supports families and cares for children and youth across Ontario.
