Respite services
Valoris recognizes that it takes time and energy to provide care to people with special or complex needs. We offer excellent respite services to the Prescott-Russell community to enable families to preserve a quality of life at home.
Since 2007, Valoris has been the agency responsible for managing funds under the government initiative targeting children up to age 17 with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) in Prescott-Russell. Every year, in February, parents can apply for funds from the youth development team.
Respite funding for the families of children with ASD can be used for the following services:
- 1in-home respite care.
- 2respite care outside the home.
- 3day camps (for children and youth between 6 and 17 years of age during March break and in the summer).
We offer families with a member who has a developmental disability, with or without physical limitations, short- or long-term respite care services in a stimulating, safe and adapted setting.
In addition to helping families avoid burnout, we offer quality services that meet the physical and psychological needs of individuals, and help them grow to their full potential. We offer respite care services in home sharer residences and in residential settings, depending on the person’s needs.
Excellent respite care services to enable families to preserve their quality of life at home.
