Valoris for Children and Adults of Prescott-Russell is proud to launch a new foster family recruitment campaign that breaks away from tradition.

This campaign seeks to demystify what it means to become a resource family and to highlight the importance of human connections above all. Welcoming someone into your home, even temporarily, means building lasting bonds, being there when it matters most, and enriching your own life through meaningful encounters.

Contrary to common misconceptions, we are not only looking for people ready to commit full-time. Sometimes it’s as simple as sharing a hobby, offering respite, accompanying someone to an activity, or helping with transportation. Every connection can make a difference. This campaign emphasizes a deeply rooted belief: it takes a community to support a child, a youth, or an adult along their journey.

“The goal of this new campaign is to remind everyone that each person can play a role. It’s not only about welcoming someone into your home, but also about giving your time and sharing your passions. And often, what you receive in return is even greater,” says Beverly Reitsma, Director of Clinical Services.
