Valoris Celebrates Kinship Awareness Week
From September 20 to 24, 2021, Valoris will celebrate Kinship Awareness Week with several other Children's Aid Societies to honour, highlight and celebrate all the relatives, whether it be a family member, friend, neighbour, teacher who care for and support children and youth.
Kinship placement allows children and youth to stay connected to their immediate family, extended family, heritage, culture, and traditions. This helps create a sense of belonging, safety, and security for children.
Thank you
Valoris would like to thank all those individuals and families who welcome a youth or teenager into their home through this type of placement. You all play an important role in keeping children and youth safe while allowing them to stay connected to their families.
