The Centre Novas - CALACS francophone de Prescott-Russell in partnership with the organizing committee, invites all women and girls of the community to take part in the 14th Prescott-Russell Women's March: Take Back the Night, which will take place on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at 7:15 p.m.

This march is an invitation to reclaim public space at night in order to protest against the violence that women and girls are too often victims of. Violence against women takes many forms: sexual assault, sexual harassment, domestic violence, pornography, sexual exploitation, sexism and more. Violence is part of women's daily lives and is directly related to women's living conditions. Violence against women has consequences for all women: it impedes our right to safety and freedom.

As you know, the COVID-19 situation prevents certain activities from taking place in complete safety. Once again this year, we suggest to the women and girls of Prescott-Russell to wear orange clothing and to walk in their street, their neighborhood, alone or with friends, while respecting the public health recommendations. If they wish, the walkers are invited to take a picture of themselves during their walk and post it on Facebook and/or Instagram while tagging the Centre Novas - CALACS francophone de Prescott-Russell. For more information, please visit the Centre Novas - CALACS website (information available in French only).
